AIPT recruits international students to live, work, and travel in the United States for up to four months during their school vacation. Host companies can bolster their staff during busy seasons and simultaneously cross train their workforce. AIPT can identify and select qualified students from select countries according to specifications that your company provides. International students come to the United States on the J-1 Summer Work/Travel visa under AIPT sponsorship.

Program Fees Paid by Participants
AIPT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and charges fees to cover the costs of doing business. Program fees are paid by the participant. Host employers are expected to pay students a fair wage sufficient to cover the cost of living during their employment and assist with housing and transportation.
J-1 Visa Sponsorship
With more than 55 years of experience, AIPT is a designated sponsor of Exchange Visitor Programs, authorized by the U.S. Department of state to issue certificates of eligibility for use in securing a J-1 visa and admission to the United States.
Support and Service
To begin now, contact Carol Kellam at 410.997.2200 or swt@aipt.org. AIPT provides your company with a personal program representative, who is available for the duration of the program to provide you and your participant support and service including:
- comprehensive medical insurance,
- orientations,
- an international phone card,
- a 24-hour emergency hotline, in addition to ongoing support through AIPT's offices,
- site visits by AIPT representatives,
- tax return services and advice through Tax Back International, and
- housing arrangements through the employer or Relocation Central by CORT.
Targeted Recruitment
AIPT will attract and select qualified students from across the globe according to specifications that your company provides. Through AIPT’s extensive international network of universities, training institutions and private organizations, we will identify hard-working, enthusiastic students for your seasonal staff.
Job Placement
AIPT staff and representatives will make presentations for the Summer and Winter AIPT Experience USA programs—and will subsequently conduct on-site interviews with potential candidates. Details of the selected candidates will then be sent to host companies for consideration and approval. Global Placement Tours
AIPT sponsors placement tours to select destinations, allowing employers to meet and interview students in person. These placement tours allow employers to meet and interview international talent, as well as experience numerous cultural activities.
