train international staff in U.S. offices. International students and professionals who want to train in the United States may be from any country with which the United States has diplomatic relations. International students and professionals come to the United States on the J-1 trainee visa under AIPT sponsorship.

J-1 Visa Sponsorship
AIPT acts as the J-1 visa sponsor for the participant and his or her dependents and is authorized to issue the Certificate of Eligibility, which is the document required to obtain a J-1 visa. AIPT is designated by the U.S. Department of State to sponsor both students and non-students in all training fields except those that involve hands-on-patient contact, in-flight training, the performing arts and unskilled labor.
Employer Support
AIPT program specialists work with each host employer to review and refine the training plan, meet regulatory requirements, and help develop and implement a successful program. As the employer of an AIPT-sponsored participant, you will also receive an employer tax guide, access to a Web community with many useful tools and information, and J-1 visa seminars in selected metro areas.
Participant Support
AIPT participants benefit from great resources to assist them with pre-departure preparation, arrival orientation and support during their stay. They include a participant handbook, AIPT-proprietary cultural preparation tools, tax preparation services, an information packed private Web community, and events for participants in selected metro areas, among other benefits.
Health Insurance
To ensure compliance, AIPT includes the federally mandated insurance coverage in our program package. Through this procedure, we can more readily reduce the risk that an employer and a participant takes of unknowingly being out of compliance with the exchange visitor program regulations as well as the specific financial risk that uncovered claims of a participant on a J-1 visa program could have on his or her employer. By including insurance as part of the AIPT package, we will also be better able to expeditiously process your applications, and better serve you.
