During AIPT’s 56 years, we have sponsored tens of thousands of Americans, J-1 exchange visitors, and summer work/travel participants from around the globe.

We have learned from our participants the many things that are considered when making a life-changing decision like becoming an AIPT participant abroadFor instance,

Where will you train or work?

Will you make friends?

Will you miss your family?

Are you ready to train in your field of business or study?

Why come to the United States?

Why choose AIPT as your visa sponsor?

We feel our participants have answered these questions best…Click on any quote below to read about a few experiences from AIPT participants in the United States:

"The past few days have been hectic learning about the bus and 'tube' systems. The vocabulary is slightly different and I am learning that I need to adjust so they know what I am talking about."

“It was hard to estimate what the new life in the United States would be like,” he says. “I was very excited, but I was worried, too. But, it turned out to be my best experience ever so far in my life. I was meeting new people and working for an international organization. I loved it.”

"Her experience in the Washington, D.C. area is one of great tolerance for different accents and culture. She says, “People here are interested in where you are from, what languages you speak, what brings you here. They seem hungry for the world.”

“I would resolutely encourage [anyone considering an international exchange] to take the next step. It may be not easy all the time, but it's definitely worth all efforts.” Toni adds, “I am really more than grateful that I got the chance of this exchange experience.”

When Srdanovic heard about the unique opportunity from his professor and mentor at the University of J.J. Strossmayer in Osjeck, Croatia, he jumped at the chance. "This was a great opportunity to work with a diverse organization in the United States and practice some of the skills I studied in school", he said.

"Personally and professionally - I had a heck of a time!" , Feyand remarked. "I believe I helped both our organizations maximize efficiency and understand each country's policies. I also gained a much deeper insight in American business practices in general."
