The Americans Abroad program arranges work authorization for international, paid, on-the-job training experiences for young Americans professionals.
Our more than half-century of experience and network of corresponding organizations in other countries helps to keep costs and paper work to a minimum, allowing us to concentrate on providing the essential services that make exchanges work. For participants, this is often a unique opportunity to experience and become familiar with the business culture and practices of a foreign country and firm. American professionals go abroad under the sponsorship of AIPT's global partners.
To be eligible to participate, individuals must be between the ages of 18-30, except in Switzerland where the age limit is 35, and hold a valid U.S. passport. Participants must have a year of work experience or a degree that qualifies them for the work being done during the program abroad. Most programs are 12-months long, but can be shorter or longer, up to two years, in some cases.
Through Americans Abroad, AIPT can arrange work authorization for France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and China.
