Kyeong-Jin
Kyeong-Jin comes highly recommended by her Public Policy Professor, who remarked on her stellar academic achievements as well as her excellent presentation skills. She has aspirations to seek a position in public administration but is also interested in exploring other opportunities which the WEST program has to offer. She is also very interested in American culture. Kyeong-Jin believes her participation in the Korea WEST program will assist her in obtaining her professional and personal goals.
Jong Rak
Jong Rak is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Hanyang University and hopes to obtain a rewarding position in the United States where he can maximize his management and customer service skills. He believes that the WEST program will allow him to reach his full potential as a global citizen. Jong Rak comes highly recommended by his Operations Management Professor, who noted Jong Rak’s intellectual ability and his positive spirit. Jong Rak is highly motivated and believes that his participation in the Korea WEST program will assist him in reaching his goals by allowing him to experience an American workplace while improving his English language ability.
Minsu
Having heard of the Korea WEST program while serving his military duty, Minsu has dreamed of studying and working in the United States. He feels the internship opportunity in the U.S. will put him above others who do not have a similar practical experience. Minsu has aspirations to work in the field of hospitality management but is also open to the many opportunities available to him as an American intern. His Professor of Hospitality Management noted Minsu’s enthusiasm for learning as well as his leadership skills. Minsu believes that the WEST experience will allow him to reach his full potential.
Heat Nim
Heat Nim is currently enrolled at Chungbuk University with a major in Business Administration. She is excited about the opportunity to broaden her horizons and experience the fast-paced world of American business. Heat Nim is confident that the WEST program will give her a competitive edge when applying for jobs within Korean Corporations. Following the completion of the internship program, she plans on completing her degree and obtaining a position with a global corporation. Heat Nim also comes highly recommended by her Chungbuk National University Professor who described Heat Nim as “an outstanding student.”
Se-mi
Se-mi is a currently enrolled in Dong-A University with a major in Communications and a minor in Business Administration. She has a passion for both cuisine and marketing and is hopeful to incorporate both into a lifetime career. She is confident that the WEST program will allow her to blend her marketing and hospitality knowledge with experience to obtain a position within a Korean Food Corporation. She also comes highly recommended by Professor Min-Chul Jun of the Department of Communications who noted Se-mii’s academic achievements and excellent interpersonal skills.
Youngeun
Youngeun is currently enrolled at Sangmyoung University where she is majoring in Business Administration. Her current career objective is to work within the fashion and cosmetics industry in a marketing capacity. She believes that her experience in the WEST program will assist her in becoming familiar with American business policies as well as exposing her to a more diverse culture. Following the completion of the internship she is hopeful that the skills she acquires while here in the US will assist her in obtaining a position in the global market.
Min Sun
Min Sun is in her last year at Dong-A University majoring in Business Administration. She is confident that the WEST program will provide her with the practical experience to complement her theoretical knowledge and will benefit from a greater understanding of business techniques used in the US. Following the completion of the internship, Min Sun is positive that she will be able to combine her studies of business administration with her on-the-job training to obtain a position in a Korean or international corporation. She also comes highly recommended by her Professor of Business Administration, who has noted that Min Sun was “one of the most outstanding students…” he has had in all of his years of teaching.
Jinkyu
Jinkyu is currently a double major in Restaurant & Food Service Management and Business Administration at Dong-Eui University. He is eager to immerse himself in American business culture as well as the English language. Through the WEST program he hopes to experience first hand the American food and hospitality industry. Following completion of the program, Jinkyu is looking forward to returning to Korea to use his new skills and knowledge to advance his academic and professional career.
Min Jeong
With an impressive 3.78/4.5 GPA, Min Jeong is currently pursuing a degree in economics from Dongguk University. She is excited by the opportunity to learn first hand the differences in economics within other cultures. She is hopeful that the WEST program will give her the “hands-on” experiences that she cannot receive from the classroom setting. She looks forward to broadening not only her perspective but also improving her English skills as well. Min Jeong is ready and willing to contribute her talents!
Juae
Juae is currently a double major in Management and Social Welfare at Handong Global University. She has high career ambitions. Juae has managed to overcome many difficult obstacles in her life to achieve her scholastic and career goals. She is confident that the WEST program will not only add to her already ambitious endeavors but will also assist in broadening her career possibilities. She is hopeful that the introduction to the American social welfare system will enable her to have a better understanding of social issues on a global level. She is confident that the WEST program will help her to make significant and positive impact on society.
Jin
Jin is currently enrolled at Chungbuk National University majoring in Business Administration. He is excited about the opportunity to experience American corporate culture and society through the WEST program. He is sure that with this internship he will be able to see his goal of working in the global corporate arena come to fruition. Following completion of the WEST program he hopes to return to Korea to finish his undergraduate program and to pursue a career in the corporate sector.
Ji Eun
Ji Eun is currently a student at one of the top women’s universities in South Korea. She is hopeful that the WEST program will provide her not only with a better understanding of American Culture but also with a more thorough understanding of American business and trading. Upon completion of the internship program, Ji Eun is excited about completing her undergraduate degree and seeking opportunities in business and global trade.
Hyun Chul
Hyun Chul hopes to pursue a career in tourism. With proficiency in several languages, he is well on his way to meeting his professional objectives. During his internship in the United States, he hopes to learn more about the American corporate culture and to view the world from many different perspectives. Hyun Chul believes that his experience in the WEST program will help him to meet his personal and professional goals.
Hye Rim
Hye Rim has the ambition of working within an international trade organization. She is hopeful that with the help of the WEST program, she can get the “hands-on” experience to thoroughly understand foreign trade policies. She has high aspirations about her career choice and is excited to put her theoretical knowledge to the test with an internship with an American trade organization. Following her time in the program, Hye Rim will return to Korea to complete her undergraduate degree; she believes that her time in America could give her a competitive edge when applying for jobs in the future.
