Concession Stand Event

In 2006, an idea was a charity fundraising project was introduced. AIPT knew of another local nonprofit organization that sponsored a concession stand at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD. Through this connection, AIPT was invited to volunteer at a concession stand at the stadium on October 15, 28, and December 31, 2006.  The profits from the refreshments sold during the games would be split between AIPT and other companies who volunteered to work the concession stand.

The event was a huge success. AIPT volunteers were involved in setting up before the game, serving refreshments during the game, and cleaning up afterwards. Among our volunteers were our two J-1 trainees, Manija Poulatova of Tajikistan and Jaro Bzdusek of Slovakia, who were excited to see live American football for the first time. We had a lot of fun working together to benefit a charity.  It was exciting to meet and work with other nonprofit volunteers and chat with family members of football players, as well as their dedicated fans.

The volunteer events brought in a total of $402 - not bad for AIPTs first charity fundraiser! Because of the success of these games, AIPT volunteers have been invited to work at the concession stand for the next football season - an event our staff is definitely looking forward to!
