Architecture:
An AIPT intern in the architecture industry will train side-by-side with licensed, experienced architects. The intern will learn about the design of a building with educational content, drawing and presentation techniques, basic 2D computer drafting and the integration of technology into the building design process.
An architecture internship may include:
- Architectural design development
- Construction drawing
- Model making
Biomedical Research:
An AIPT intern will have the opportunity to train with a pharmaceutical or biotech company. Interns will learn different aspects of biomedical research through exposure to hypothesis-driven research and hands-on laboratory experience.
A biomedical research internship may include:
- Designing and evaluating experiments
- Organizing and presenting data
- Providing assistance on research projects with post-doctoral fellows or graduate students
- Analyzing data and writing reports
Software Development:
An AIPT intern will have the opportunity to obtain hands-on experience within the software development field. The intern may perform customized software development and data management.
A software development internship may include:
- Business requirements analysis
- Systems analysis and design
- Data analysis, manipulation and cleansing
- Information Technology planning and management
